I have heard this before. Price out the options on the 50 Jahre.. It comes very close to what a similar optioned G80 X-Drive is. I do wish it could have been had with CF exterior (Canada did get CF exterior). There isn't much you don't get on the 50 Jahre, and some options might not be available when you order your G80 (according to availability). Not all buyers have to deal with ADM, and be it what it is, not everyone will have one.
Mine is sitting in Charleston waiting on train to PDC hopefully for 14 Oct delivery.
