That's not the
only reason. While I prefer the look of a soft-top over a hardtop, that's not the deciding factor for me. Have you seen the trunk of a hard-top convertible and compared it to one with a soft top? It's night and day with respect to functionality and usability.
I've wanted an m4 for years, but the trunk situation was a literal deal-breaker for me. I ended up buying an Audi specifically because of the soft top.
