That's what I'm thinking too. With a good driver and some nice tires I'm sure the RWD 6MT wouldn't be too far off as long as the power can be put down. I'm sure there's a pretty effective traction control system now that hopefully isn't too intrusive. The difference can also be bigger than you think on the track and street. I’d be careful to say they will perform similarly.
As for fun to drive, if you are a 6 MT die hard there’s no reason sweating over the performance difference, is there?
