For my phone it’s an iPhone 13 and I’m on iOS version 16.3.1.
🤞🏻this eradicates this problem for good. Will update if I find myself in the middle of. A field once again when I’m supposed to be on the highway.

FWIW, when I complained to BMW that they didn't support AT&T for eSIM, they replied that "As of December 5, 2022 , AT&T customers with BMW software level 22-11-544 are able to use their mobile plan with Personal eSIM. Please note, software updates will be rolled out to customers based on their Vehicle Identification Number (VIN). At this time, I do not have information regarding when an update will be available for a specific BMW vehicle." I'm currently on 11/2022.27, and last checked for an update a couple of days ago and none were available. I'm *hoping* that 11/22.60 will fix both AT&T eSIM AND, more importantly, CarPlay, so will keep checking
