Can anyone explain CT4 Blackwings's abysmal Roling Start 5-60 mph time of only 5.3sec ? ( I mean the Car & Driver time with a manual transmission:
https://www.caranddriver.com/reviews...y-the-numbers/ ) All the other numbers are in the ballpark except the Rolling Start. This cannot be simply waved away, because it is the single most important performance metric in real-life driving.
Can this be explained by the gearing, or by multiple shifts required, or by the excessive turbo-lag ? For comparison M32015 M4 Manual and 2021 M4 Manual can hit that time in 4.6 and 4.7sec respectively, which is in the different league entirely. I keep eyeing this CT4 as my next car (because I am fed-up with BMW charging Ferrari-like prices for parts & labour), but I am afraid that this disappointing performance number will make the Caddy feel not much faster than my current 2014 M235i.
