For me, there was also an esthetic plus to Sto N Sho; it moves the front plate from right in the middle of the grille to lower. I installed the bracket but don't have plates yet -- still on temp tag -- but worry a bit that the lower position may make the plate more vulnerable to scraping/damage....

I don't run the plates (only put them on for annual state inspections), but I do keep the bracket installed. I haven't had an issue yet with speed bumps or anything
