It occurred to me that the G8x could be the car where going manual is such a departure in performance, that it no longer makes sense.
Only if it was a competitive race car and based on series rules, paddles or H pattern shifting was allowed so it was a competitive disadvantage.

For a car that I am buying as an enthusiast to enjoy every moment of, including the most mundane trips to and from work, I don't care about losing a small amount of performance potential. There's a reason why M2 has a 50% manual take rate and the 911 GT3 is over 70%.
