Correct me if I am wrong GOLFFRR, but without an allocation, all one really has is the expression of interest to a dealership (or dealerships) that they would like to order a car. My understanding is that the process of placing an order with corporate / the place of assembly does not happen until one can actually claim an available allocation. In other words, while a dealership can keep a record of your desired specifications during your first conversation (or any other time prior to actually placing an order), the order cannot actually be registered into the system until an allocation opens up. Is that right?
