Argh! That means I missed having the newest update installed by just a couple of days! Had my dealer update me to this on Saturday (I have iDrive 7 Lite so I require dealer updates instead of OTA).
One feature I noticed that I don't see mentioned above. You can now send and respond to text messages via iDrive voice control. Previously, this was only possible via CarPlay.
I don't have an Android phone so I'm not sure if this already existed on Android prior to this update (or does after).
