Hmmm, don't know how old you are, but chances are high that Audi was still using V8 engines mounted in front of the axle and provoking understeer. While (you know) BMW is all about vehicle dynamics, equal weight distribution, and more neutral behaviour. The 4WD is not really changing that, it just adds more grip.
I'm 39 and I certainly understand the tendency towards understeer, had some very scary moments haha.

I understand your point, but the RWD experience is a little sportier.
