As for an update on BMW of Alexandria: they sold my #1 spot on the waitlist out from under me (presumably to a customer willing to pay extra to jump to the front of the line) and lied to me about it for two months. That is where the "no allocations for the DC area" mentioned in my post above came from. So I got my deposit back, which they refunded without issue. Still thinking on next steps, and may just opt for AMG or Audi as the whole experience has me pretty turned off. So, that is a warning to everyone here: don't deal with BMW of Alexandria.

I stress this to anyone since buying my wifes X5 in Dec 21. Alexandria is super shady, and will do anything to get you in that door. They are anything but honest from top to bottom. I’m sure theres people that have a salesman or so that they praise, but every interaction I have had has been so terrible. Theres a growing list of people they have done wrong, so take whatever we say with a grain of salt, but I’d never look their way again, or point anyone in their direction. I would say Fairfax is also up there.
