I have an F80. It's very capable with winter performance tires. With the wrong tires AWD doesn't add much.

If your an enthusiastic then RWD is the way to go. It's more rewarding because you have greater influence over the car's dynamics through weight transfer. When you exit a corner you need to be patient and resist getting on the throttle too hard and quickly. With AWD your lose some of that dynamic.
