I got my (RWD) G80 competition on thursday and have so far driven around 500 km in it.
If AWD had been available from the start i would have most likely ordered mine with AWD as i would think that 510 HP is too much for just the rear wheels.
After having driven the first 500 km i can say though that i would order it RWD again immediately. The car has more than enough traction and handles the power extremely well in it's RWD version.
The weather in the last few days was good though : mostly dry roads and only this morning a little bit of rain and slightly moist roads.
Of course with a lot of rain or in winter on snow a AWD version will have more traction. For me though this is not really a big benefit as i would always adapt my driving on slippery roads and do not have the wish to go as fast on slippery roads as on dry roads.
So for me it is easy : RWD without a doubt.
