Now that the full details are out, it's time to make a decision but I'm not sure if the $4100 is worth it for me given my driving habits:

--It's will be a daily driver
--It will NOT be tracked
--I live in Maryland so it will be driven in rain but won't need to be driven in the snow
--I would classify myself as a spirited/aggressive driver, but it's not like I'd be using launch control every day... And I'm sure the difference in 0-60 time is all off the line traction and not as important for a rolling start/normal life

So, with the improved way the RWD G80 puts down the power, do you think AWD is worth it in my situation? Really appreciate the feedback. BMW has made this so much more difficult now!
My exact situation and dilemma! I also live (will be) in Maryland. I work from home, so will not use it in snow. Also spirited/aggressive driver, but I don't race anyone off the line - really can't in the real world. I won't be tracking it - maybe once or twice for fun. As well, I believe that if there is any benefit to RWD, it's while at speed (rolling or highway) and fun factor (maybe?). I've never owned an AWD vehicle.

I'll probably lease the first G80 that I get. In terms of a lease, $4,100 would be approximately $100-$120/month. I'm not sure that the xDrive, for me, is worth it.

On the other side, if I do get a RWD, I'll end up having a summer and winter wheel/tire set up - which would likely be close to cost of AWD!
