RWD or AWD - Advice?
There are probably a lot of us now trying to decide between RWD and AWD. I've driven rear wheel drive M/AMG/(Alfa)QV cars for the last 12 years and have been waiting for G80 Xdrive details to come out before I decided and placed my order.
Now that the full details are out, it's time to make a decision but I'm not sure if the $4100 is worth it for me given my driving habits:
--It's will be a daily driver
--It will NOT be tracked
--I live in Maryland so it will be driven in rain but won't need to be driven in the snow
--I would classify myself as a spirited/aggressive driver, but it's not like I'd be using launch control every day... And I'm sure the difference in 0-60 time is all off the line traction and not as important for a rolling start/normal life
So, with the improved way the RWD G80 puts down the power, do you think AWD is worth it in my situation? Really appreciate the feedback. BMW has made this so much more difficult now!
