Battery Management System Malfunction (M340i)
Hi All,
I've been impressed with my M340i until a couple of weeks ago when the kick action boot open/close packed up. Didn't thnk too much of it a the time but now I've got the, 'Battery Management
Start engine. Malfunction When shutting down vehicles electronics while stationary. If problem reoccurs again, have it checked by your service center' message. Obviouly I'm linking the two issues together.
Called my local main dealer (not the dealer who sold me the car) for warranty who told me to clean the sensors. Wiped the bumper off and then found a trim panel behind the bumper under the car and well out view was split.
Moved to BMW as I got fed up with arguing with Audi dealers. Now I'm worried I'm staring down the barrel of an expensive bill. What experience can I expect?
