Its dealer specific. Some dealers want it up front, and I wouldn't think of running it, unless they had an allocation for you. My dealer had an allocation, already in 112 status, that I got for MSRP, and I sat down, ordered, received my production number, and loaded the order into MyBMW garage, all before I left the building, and they never asked me to run credit. Of course, my car was over $100k, and they never even asked for a deposit. |
Geez some dealer you got! Thanks for the response guys.
I guess it is dealer specific because before I place an order, we talked numbers. Once we reach an agreement, they run my credit and wait to see if I get approved. All this before placing an order. It's weird because we took so long to finalize numbers, that it's only good for 90 days.. the car will take 6-8 months to get here. So we have to run the credit again within a 90 day window of the car arriving.
