BMW M3 G80 G82 - View Single Post - Should I be concerned? Accidentally over reviving new G80 xDrive

Coming out of dealer after break in service at 1,150 miles, I decided to try launch control on my G80 xDrive for the first time.

Well I messed it up, and lifted the break before it was ready to launch. The car rushed to 7,000sh RPMs in first gear, really loud and started to bounce in the redline. It scared the life out of me, so after like three or four bounces I finally reacted and shifted paddle to second gear.

Car seemed fine, I tried one more time and it launched like a beautiful beast.

Should I be concerned with long term damage? Or any potential impact to performance down the road?
