Haven't driven the IS500, but the new IS350s I've autocrossed have remarkably lazy handling. Slow unresponsive steering and transmission, top heavy chassis at the limits, ancient interior. I'd imagine it's the same story for the 500.
Literally the only selling point is the V8.
