The F87 M2 comp ran 6 seconds faster on the ring compared to the outgoing F87 after a 150+ pound weight gain. Pretty similar scenario...upgraded engine yet added weight. I think the G80 power to weight ratio improved more than the F87 comp improved though but id have to do some math to confirm that lol. I know everyone is throwing out numbers like the G80 is 500 pounds heavier but its really not
a lot of it comes down to what the added weight is doing and I think some of it is added engine bracing which should help and the car being wider probably adds some weight but helps with grip as well. A decent chunk of it is probably to meet increasing safety standards which is unfortunate...I don't think anyone is buying this car for the crash test rating
