A specific M3 rear door would have fixed this and I was hoping this time they may build specific rear doors for the M3, instead of using the ones from the normal 3 series, but it is costly of course, but Audi showed that it can work out, like they did for the new RS6.

I saw that feature in person and it is difficult to "unsee" as you said. Any chance this could be redeemed in the LCI ? Maybe "LCI doors"

Good point, but exterior upgrades of LCIs usually only cover some small bumper (front/rear) and light (front/rear) changes, no other things, as creating new doors with all the involved tooling and so on is very expensive for manufacturers, so I don't think this will happen for a LCI...
But who knows, there is always hope, but I would be extremely surprised if that would happen..
