I would bet on a hybrid (H80, H82, etc - even the naming convention lines up for a marketing bonus!) around 2028, followed by the BEV at 2035 unless a PHEV exception is carved out before the 2035 deadline.

I've said it many times and I'll say it again - give me i8 styling, an S58, and around a 200hp electric motor and I'll be happy. Make it a PHEV if you want as a bonus or EV-only when in reverse or under 15 mph forward and I'd be ok with it. Well, as long as they integrate the infotainment screens back into the dash and ditch the "slapped on a billboard as an afterthought" look. Hell, I'd even prefer NO screens and just the HUD than the ID8 stuff being put in right now.
