I expect engine changes because other BMWs are getting engine changes for LCI. Maybe mild hybrid... or even "full" hybrid wouldn't surprise me.
Last I heard, the M2 was to be the last non-hybrid M car. But maybe that doesn't apply to updates (LCI).
Either way, it's a damn good thing that the G80 is stupid fast already, so I am not concerned with missing performance if a hybrid comes out. And it might be good to give it a year or two for BMW to work out any kinks before purchasing a hybrid M3. On the other hand... BMW has been making (arguably the best) hybrids for years now, so maybe not too many bugs/kinks.
Feels like I'm arguing with myself. But on the other hand...
