The slats' flat sections became visibly scratched within a couple months -- but were easily polished back to as-new with little efforts (with the right tool/product). The micro scratches haven't returned nearly as quickly, now that I'm using the pressure washer and foam cannon, but I'm wise now to how easily that gloss black trim scratches.
