From what I could read out of the article posted above, the widow of deceased Charly Lamm had to be paid for her company shares. That and not being able to find another sponsor after BMW decided to end the relationship will mean that the Schnitzer Racing team is likely history and will not race again. Truely saddening to hear that.
As always we don't know anything happening behind the scenes, so the true reason for the end will probably not be known to us in the near future.
