If not, you'd at least want that to be a frank conversation, especially if they are telling you you have the "first allocation". Maybe they simply haven't received an MT allocation at all, but that seems strange unless these are in very short supply.
It used to be the case that the allocations were based on the base and competition when they were "separate" models. Now with them being the same, the competition is just a package on the car. So you can change from base to competition as a simple option.
