I used to have an aftermarket one on my Mazdaspeed6 few years ago.
With a "real" handbrake a bit easier mentally, but still would train myself to leave the 4th gear if any so that it wouldn't jump to far when accidentally started.
Overall it is awesome that we have that option. In warmer climates it comes very handy🥲🥲
