My old F15 X5 had major issues (A/C not working, the whole infotainment module was replaced, and air suspension leaks).
I don't want to spoil your expectations but don't expect a 100% build quality car, even from Germany. My M5 (although mechanically sound), has: slightly creaky door hinges (which the dealer can't fix); the random rattle in the cabin from day 1; all trim pieces creak when you press on them including the reading lights area; and worse of all the climate control display screen has started to develop cracks along the top and bottom edges (this is a widespread problem in F90 M5s).
But of course these things aren't close to deal breakers. In fact, I'm seriously considering replacing the M5 with a G82 M4 CS when the time comes.
