Porsche: There is no substitute. Marketing mumbo-jumbo, but it's accurate to a certain point.
The M4 is fabulous, but as others have mentioned, it's not really a fair comparison.
The Spyder will beat you up in ride quality and ergonomics. If you're young enough and/or don't care, then it's by far the superior driving car. If you are a person of advancing years such as myself, then the calmer demeanor and more compliant ride, higher stance and spacious cabin in the M4 will win out.
