Don't save it for the next guy.
I did not DD my M2 because it was such a loud, miserable ride. The M4 (and M3) are so comfortable, so capable, that it became a no-brainer for me, and I got rid of my G30 540i.
The only caveat to that, is that the PS4s are not so great in the rain, and I suspect, not so great in the cold. Neither are likely a concern for the OP, in LA.
