There are people with 700-750 to the wheels, running mid 9s, at 145, with dozens of launches on the street. Gotta remember this drivetrain came from 2 heavier platforms, the X4M and the F90 M5. And since they have 1000hp M5s with the same drivetrain, it holds together, pretty well on a lighter platform. This drivetrain is overkill for the G8X platform, but there is no such thing as overkill, when you're chasing horsepower. |
I've come to learn that everything M does engineering-wise is overkill, and I love it!
