A new interpretation of the current M look. It seems to fit.
In California many are driving around [illegally] with no front plate attached, but for the few that I've seen with plates, it's offset just under the driver's side headlight.

On that picture the plates are not blocking anything. It looks ugly but it doesn't sacrifice cooling.

Now if you think adding to any side of the new G80 it will block air significantly
Wondering how much would block cooling with US plate?
Assuming the middle part ( which is blocked and doesn't need to be perforated for cooling ) is as European plates ( 4.3" ) is 20%

But that's just the number difference on plates, I don't know the grill size to calculate actual % in volume.
