yes so to summarize -
1) i believe the code Franck retrieved from bimmertool was not correct, sending down wrong troubleshooting path.
2) the actual code that i verified on my own car is a transmitter code - meaning the ECU (icam) does not receive an expected signal
3) automatic parking feature requires driver's seat buckle contact signal, which is deleted when installing race seats.
4) solution to eliminate the parking assist malfunction is to decode the auto parking function (and only the auto park function, we still of course want to maintain full 360 camera functionality) from the car.
this will be needed for g8x race seat installs when the car has Parking Assist Plus (5DN) option in order to have a fully errorless install.
