Yep, all M cars are sure to depreciate. (excluding 1 Series M) The right ones come back around in time.
RS is a really limited case. We all have a friend that bought a pre-992 RS for under MSRP, in some cases well under. 997 GT3 RS - yowza.
You won't double your money for a very long time if you buy a GT car now. Also, prices are currently ticking down on all generation GT cars. (excluding 992 RS) If you bought during peak, well, enjoy that car.
I recently picked up a 996 GT3 which is the perfect offset to my G80 Comp. I'm a simple guy and 2 cars are enough, so I want them to be 2 distinctly different experiences. I thought about an air cooled but the 996 is still very quick and exciting, and the first GT3. I love it and wanted one since new.
