FYI, if you’re using CARFAX to look up the service history and you see the first one at 5kish, that doesn’t necessarily mean it was done at 1200. The dash should have prompted the owner to go in. That said, I’ve seen several CARFAXES with this first service missing. You need to look and see where it was bought and where it was first serviced and call that dealership and ask for the history early on. It should be in their systems… that is if you can just go into your local dealer and ask them to pull the actual BMW service log and NOT the CARFAX shit, which can be wrong.
