I did take the mirror plug out and it was not easy. I’d of given up so fast upon breaking any of the plug. Thankful it worked out for you, I used needle nose pliers to hold the prongs and used the 2nd smallest size (kit came w 4) then pushed them in, again using pliers as it’s probably impossible without them.
