Not at the actual M4C, but at the car before (Alpina B4 with Alpina special brakes) showed pads similar to those in the OP here. Noticed it during a tire change, and the young mechanic only stated "watch it if it gets worse".
I now remember that, at the regular change of the brake pads two years ago, the auto shop didn't make any comments about according issues, but there's often only "work to rule". So I, even after the valuable discussion here, see the whole thing now like the mechanic above.
