But I’ve had an accident at 10 mph in a 435i and had no paint damage and I needed a new hood and front bumper from just the faintest bend. PPF isn’t preventing that.

5 mph bumpers aren't the 5 mph bumpers they used to be.
Another byproduct of PPF, is it looking like this, after 11,606 miles, and a 198 mile drive in the pouring rain, without being washed. No scratches or swirls. The second video shows you what happens when you get scratches in the PPF. This, or just leave it in the sun.
