In EU countries people buy this car to get a more practical car than a sedan with almost the same performance and feel as one. There is zero stigma attached to wagons in the EU. They are the prefered choice for alot of people who refuse the drive a SUV for many reasons. When you drive a 3 or 5 series touring, or any of the mercedes / audi wagons on the highway you cant tell the difference from driving the sedan version.
