FWIW, I just placed an order on an m4, and decided to option the buckets.
I'm relatively a fat guy, (36" Waist) and after sitting in the buckets it transforms the feel of the car.
The car is going to be my DD, and the difference in feel between the buckets and the base seats was enough for me to take the slightest inconvenience of the getting in and out of the car, I guess with the m4 it's probably easier as the door opening is wider.
